Ian (French) has held many positions in the past, including a spell in the army, working in the power generation industry and as an Industry Analyst specializing in energy markets. He gained a BSc Hons in Environmental Management & Policy at Middlesex University and went on to pass a Post Graduate Certificate in Education in geography at Swansea University.

Ian has always been interested in Stroud Brewery due to its local focus, ethical standpoint and quality product. He jumped at the chance of employment within the brewery when a position became available and looks forward to contributing to the company as it expands whilst gaining experience in the brewing industry. He also continues to run a local landscaping company.

Ian plays rugby, enjoys music, socialising, scuba diving and the great outdoors.
