WINNING OUR 13TH AWARD? EASY PEASY

Have you tried our Easy Peasy beer yet? The judges of the Brewers’ Choice Awards have and were so impressed they’ve named it New Beer of the Year 2023. Are we delighted with that? You bet we are! These awards celebrate the best beer the UK has to offer, and are judged by some of
the top brewers and experts in the industry. Easy Peasy beat some top-class beers from around the UK, and this success brings the total number of regional and national awards we’ve won this year to 13!

Easy Peasy is a light, naturally hazy, unfiltered session pale ale with floral aromas and a fresh flavour provided by organic elderflowers and lemons. It’s also suitable for vegans and vegetarians. Just the right type of beer for supping gently when spending the afternoon with friends.

We wanted to brew a great tasting beer for people moving to a healthier lifestyle and reducing their alcohol consumption. There’s been a quite a shift recently towards reduced alcohol beers, especially amongst younger generations. Sales in pubs of low or no alcohol beers jumped 23% during the past year and have more than doubled since 2019. Although, Easy Peasy is not officially low-alcohol, it’s greatly reduced alcohol content provides a refreshing way to drink responsibly.

We think Easy Peasy is a great example of how premium beer doesn't need to be higher strength or have to sacrifice taste. It lets our customers enjoy a full flavoured craft beer and a reduced alcohol content at the same time.

One of the brewery’s guiding principles is to use beer to bring people together to socialise, have great conversations, broaden their outlook and build a stronger community. We believe a great tasting reduced alcohol beer like Easy Peasy plays an important role making this happen.

Tim Sheahan, editor of The Brewers Journal which organises the Brewers’ Choice Awards, said: "We are fortunate that each year UK breweries release a wealth of excellent beers that span the style spectrum. Predictably the quality of the beers entered in the 'New Beer of the Year' category was very high.

"In Easy Peasy, the judges recognised the beer’s refreshing aromas and high level of drinkability. At 2.6% the beer is full of flavour and a worthy winner of the best new beer in 2023"
