We're really pleased with how quickly our beers are being recognised for their great quality in regional and national beer awards. Here's some of our highlights!
Budding wins Gloucestershire Beer of The Year Award Again!
For the second time in three years Budding has won the Champion Beer of Gloucestershire award. We're delighted with this resounding endorsment of our most popular beer and promise it'll be just a good in 2009 as it has been throughout 2008.

Greg collects the Gloucestershire Beer of the Year award for 2008 - Budding Pale Ale.
Tom Long wins Silver at the SIBA National Beer Competition
Having won as overall champion at the Regional competition, Tom Long went on to gain a silver at the nationals.
"This is a fantastic achievement for us as it further endorses the standard of our beers at the national level".
Tom Long wins Overall Champion for SIBA West of England and Wales regional Awards
Stroud
Brewery is a member of the Society for Independent Brewers Association
(SIBA), which represents small independent breweries across the UK.
Each year they run a competition of its member’s beers starting
regionally and then nationally. We submitted Tom Long (3.8%) and
Budding (4.5%) to the West of England and Wales competition (our SIBA
region). Tom Long won its class as best bitter, and then went on to be
overall winner of the competition. 60 beers were submitted, and the
contest was judged by brewers and industry members. So for 2007-2008
Tom Long is best in the West! Early 2008 we will try our luck in the
nationals!
Budding awarded Gloucestershire Beer of the Year 2006 - July 2006
Feedback
has been fantastic for our first brews of Budding but winning this
award is the best endorsement we could ever have wished for. So we have
got the beer right, now we have to brew more of it!
This
prestigious award is given every year at the Gloucestershire Beer
Festival held at Postlip Hall annually and is based on a blind tasting
of all Gloucestershire beers at the festival.
