We to source the best quality local organic ingredients and brew to the tightest specifications in our custom designed craft brewery. And more than anything we really care about the flavour and consistent quality of each of our brews.
Our Malt
Stroud Brewery sources its malt from Warminster Maltings in Wiltshire, Britain’s oldest working floor maltings where malt is skilfully hand crafted using the same methods and tools employed more than 100 years ago to produce a fine skinned crispy sweet malt.
Working with Warminster, we have been able to guarantee a malt supply grown on the Cotswolds with a ‘Warranty of Origin’.
“Brewing a local beer is one thing, but brewing it using locally grown barley really sets it apart. Cotswolds farmers produce amongst the highest quality malting barleys in the UK and our brewery together with Warminster are the links in the chain that connect local drinkers with their local farms and the characteristic landscape they create.”
Our Hops
We use whole hops supplied to us by Charles Faram , who have been established as merchants of hops and hop products for over 100 years. Charles Faram stock and sell the largest range of hops in the UK giving us a great range to choose from. Hops give beer its bitterness and contribute to its flavour and aroma to produce a well balanced beer.
Organic

Stroud Brewery currently produces one regular draught organic beer – Stroud Organic Ale (4.0% ABV) and our entire range of bottled beers are organic and vegan. In 2010 all our bottles were commended at the Soil Association Organic Food and Drink awards. Find out more...
