Founded 1760 as Watts, Hallewell & Co. Registered 1888.  Merged with Cheltenham & Hereford Breweries Ltd. In 1958 to form West Country Breweries. Used as a Whitbread depot until 1969 and was demolished in 1970. There is a little history about the original stroud brewery on the Gloucestershire Pubs website.
