5 years after our first brew in our 5BBL* brewery, we moved production to our new 20BBL brewery just across the loading bay from our original home, which has become our packaging store.
The new brewery was fabricated to our specification, and is a larger replica of our original brewery. We continue brewing in the same style using whole cone hops, rather than switching to pellets and hop oils as many expanding breweries tend to do.
As well as increased capacity, our new brewery allows us to manage the variables that face beer production much more accurately, ensuring our quality and consistency, and improving our energy efficiencies.
This expansion has partly been enabled through the support of the Rural Development Programme for England (RDPE)**. We were eligible for support due to our commitment to use Cotswold grown malting barley, support for sustainable agriculture and reducing our energy use.
* 1BBL = Brewers Barrel = 4 Firkins each of 72 pints. 5 BBL = approx 1500 pints per brew
