Local chainsaw sculptor and painter showcase their work in Stroud Brewery’s Loft exhibition space. Denius Parson is an architectural chainsaw sculptor who creates bespoke timber buildings and chainsaw sculptors. His speciality is in creating unique objects that perfectly integrate with their surroundings. Using rich, vibrant oil colour the Stroud artist creates landscape, still like and portraiture with great intensity an often uses humour to spice up the moment!
Melvyn studied Fine Art in London and went on to win a David Murray landscape scholarship from the royal academy of arts. For many years he worked as a highly sough after illustrator specialising in romantic book covers, working with such authors as Catherine Cookson, Maeve Binchy and Edwina Currie.
Stroud and the landscapes consisting of the river, canal and commons, also the splendid sunsets really inspires the work.
