Here at Stroud Brewery, sustainability is at the core of everything we do.
So, when approached again by Toast and also Friends of the Earth, to do another collaboration - we couldn’t wait!
Food production has the biggest effect on our environment, and a mind blowing 44% of all bread produced is wasted. Toast are on a mission to change that by using the surplus bread as a key ingredient in their beer.
Following on from the success of Melba in 2018, which was our first collaboration with Toast, the obvious choice was to use Hobbs House Bakery again for our organic bread.
The beer, aptly named Flour Power, has been a huge success and has gained a lot of interest from the media.
Climate change has been a major point of discussion in the press these past few weeks, and given the involvement from Friends of the Earth it has provided us with a great platform from which to shout about this awesome product.
Patagonia (planet saving clothing producer) have taken stock of the beer which they will be offering at their various events around the UK, along with Abel & Cole who have now listed the product on their organic food delivery website an option in their delicious organic food delivery boxes.
Supporting the message that we can all enjoy the things we love, sustainably.
5% of the proceeds from this hoppy amber ale will go to Friends of the Earth Charity.
