Job Function:

The Stroud Brewery Bar (Shift) Supervisor & Beer Ambassador, will oversee the running of the Stroud Brewery bar, and promote our beers and brand through a range of events.

 

Main responsibilities:

To ensure the efficient and safe running of the Stroud Brewery Bar for the enjoyment of our customers and proactively promote our beers, ethos and brand

Bar

  • Supervising all aspects of running Stroud Brewery bar during opening hours when bar manager is not present
  • Training team members on beer styles and serving
  • Managing bar staff: overseeing the bar staff team, ensuring all tasks done
  • Safety: Ensuring the safety of the public during bar opening times
  • Cleaning and maintenance: Ensuring the venue is kept clean

Events

  • Together with the kitchen team, organise and lead beer & food pairings
  • Support bar requirements for regular events
  • Run and support offsite events

Sales

  • Fortnightly Stroud farmers market
  • Taking orders from public and pubs during office and bar hours
  • Visiting venues to promote Stroud Brewery Beers
  • Running tasting sessions  - online, in stores, at events

Online Marketing

  • Manage all online platforms for the Stroud Brewery Taproom and events
  • Create digital promotional material and content for the Stroud Brewery Taproom
  • Create, manage and provide analytics for online marketing campaigns for Stroud Brewery and Stroud Brewery Taproom

 

Other tasks as required

Person Specification

This is a public facing role, speaking confidently, with a good knowledge of beer styles and their history you will talk about our beers and the ethos that upholds our work and brand, and manage bar shifts and various events.

The individual applying for this role must demonstrate the following:

  • They have experience in working in the hospitality and event organisation
  • They have a good knowledge around craft beer and real ale
  • Confident public speaker
    Are able to create content and promote in a effective way
  • Can lead and motivate a team
